Paragon Surfboards: Epoxy Technology

Paragon Surfboards has two types of epoxy options; ParaPoxy and ParaLite epoxy.

Our ParaPoxy epoxy is a high-end material that looks and feels like a traditional polyurethane surfboard.  It has the flex characteristics of a polyurethane board; however, it’s four times stronger.  This is an ideal option for the person that likes the feel of traditional polyurethane boards, but wants added strength and durability.

Our ParaLite epoxy combines a high-density expanded polystyrene foam core (EPS) with epoxy resin,
rendering a board that is both lighter and stronger than a traditional polyurethane surfboard.  Compared to our ParaPoxy material, this option is slightly stiffer and more ding resistant.  This is an ideal option for the person that wants a quality board that won’t break down quickly over time.
